How to Prepare Artwork for Backdrop Printing
Begin with the exact product and size you intend to order. A file prepared for one display system may not fit another, even when both products are described as an eight-foot backdrop.
Use the selected product specifications
Check the listed finished dimensions and any available artwork template. Follow the product-specific instructions for file format, bleed, safe areas and image quality. Do not add your own bleed measurement or scale assumption if it conflicts with the supplied template.
Check logos, photos and text
Use the clearest original artwork available. Enlarging a small screenshot does not recover missing image detail. Where suitable, use original vector logo artwork and keep an editable copy of your design. Check spelling, dates, sponsor names and permissions before preparing the final upload.
Keep important text and logos away from edges, cutouts, seams or frame-covered areas identified by the template. Consider both close-up photographs and the distance from which visitors will read your display.
Review the order configuration
- Match the design to the selected size and orientation.
- Confirm the printed sides and whether separate artwork is needed for each side.
- Check whether you are ordering a complete display or a graphic only.
- Use the artwork upload instructions shown for the selected product.
- Resolve any proof or file questions before treating a production schedule as confirmed.
Allow for production and delivery
Production timing depends on the product configuration and artwork approval. Carrier transit is additional. Review Shipping & Production and contact the team about a required event date rather than assuming that placing an order guarantees delivery by that date.
Ask about your artwork or product, or compare backdrop examples.
